Access to the Welcome centre at Valavran (Accommodation)

Location

The Welcome Centre for Non-Governmental delegations and Organizations is located 13 minutes by bus from the Place des Nations (UN), 10 minutes by taxi from the airport and 5 minutes from the motorway. On weekdays, a free shuttle takes delegates in the morning to conferences and in the evening back to the Welcome Centre. In addition, public transport links the Welcome Centre 7/7 to the international area and the town centre. Buses run from 6:00 am to 23:30 pm. The bus stop is within 10 minutes walking distance from the Centre.

By taxi from Geneva Airport

We have negotiated a fixed fare of SFr. 28.- for the journey between the airport and the Welcome Centre, with the "New Cab" Taxi Company (Tel. 022 320 20 20). When getting into the taxi, do not forget to remind the driver to apply the fixed fare. If you take another taxi company, you will have to count around 30 francs for the 10 minute drive.

By bus  

Take bus V (towards "C. S. La Becassière") at Cornavin railway station, at the Place des Nations (UN) or in front of the ICRC (Red Cross). Get off at the "Valavran" bus stop (ask the driver) and follow the signs "Mandat International."

By car  

From Place des Nations (UN), take the Ferney Road to Grand-Saconnex. At the crossing Place du Grand-Saconnex, turn right to follow Collex/Colovrex. Drive straight on until you get to a small roundabout. Take the road towards Collex and at the next intersection turn right towards Genthod. Drive beneath the motorway and, about 150 meters after the "Valavran" bus stop, turn left into the "Chemin William Rappard". Stay on the path and follow the signs indicating "Mandat International." The path leads to the woods after about 300 meters, and turns left. The Welcome Centre is situated at the very end of the path after the wood.
