Welcome and Accommodation at Valavran

The Welcome Centre for Non-governmental Organizations and Delegations, located at Valavran (in the Commune of Bellevue, Geneva) was opened in 1997 thanks to many volunteers. It provides budget accommodation and support to non-governmental representatives and delegates from developing countries, in order to enable them to participate in international conferences. It is a place where delegates from all around the World can meet and share information and ideas. Priority is given to delegates from the Least Developed Countries (LDC) and to representatives of the Indigenous Peoples.

• Budget accommodation and reduced expenses during their stay. We contribute to establish greater equality in North-South relations by turning Geneva into a truly democratic forum, accessible to people from all over the World
• Work infrastructure : computers, meeting rooms, Internet access, WiFi, fax, photocopier, etc.

• Organising of meetings and training sessions
• Meetings and cultural activities with the public
